Hi, I would like to know how long does it take, generally, for a new book to be available in the library for loan after it is received by the college? I've been meaning to borrow Henrion: The complete Designer but it has been a week and on the catalogue (CSM), it still shows that it is "received" but not available yet. Thank you!!

Hi, Joey! I am the head of the department that receives and catalogues all new books. Our turnaround time varies depending on a number of factors, but unfortunately we don't have enough staff to get all new books on the shelves in a week or less. However, you've done the right thing by asking about the book as we're happy to prioritize it for you. Would you like to borrow the book from the CSM or LCC libraries? They both have copies that could be ready for you in a few days.
Let me know which site you'd prefer to borrow the book from, and I'll put a "reservation" on the book in your name. Then when the book has been delivered to the library, they'll send you an email saying it's ready for you to pick it up.
