When you access the Emerald database, make sure you do it through our library pages. Go to the following web page (Library Search):
Then click on the A-Z Databases link. Click on the resource entitled 'Emerald' and you will be prompted to use your UAL username and password (the same that you use to log into moodle).
Try not to access Emerald via a normal search engine, as you will not be able to log in with your university credentials this way.
Once in Emerald, you will not need to log in again, and will have access the the resources paid for by UAL. Not all resources on Emerald are subscribed to by UAL. Once logged in, you will be able to find a list of journals and books we subscribe to under the "journals and books" tab.
Likewise, individual articles and chapters you search for indicate if they have full text available by displaying a green square next to each entry.
If we do not subscribe to an article or chapter, the page will say "sorry, you do not have full text to this article." If you need a specific article or chapter for your research that you cannot find on Emerald, please look on our A-Z list of e-journals, or on our library catalogue for ebooks and print journals.
