Question:

Hi. Is there a way to browse back issues of Frieze and Art Monthly magazines?
I'm looking for references to artist talks, film screenings, other related events that surround exhibitions.

Hello David

thank you for your question.  You can browse back issues of Frieze and Art Monthly both in hard copy and online.

If you search our online library catalogue you will find that we should have in the library

Art Monthly https://libsearch.arts.ac.uk/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=95755

Frieze https://libsearch.arts.ac.uk/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=95304

Please bear in mind that holdings are often incomplete and issues may be in use.

Your other option is to search electronically through the e-journals portal which you will find if you click on the link "find e-journals" on the right hand side of our online library catalogue.  Through the e-journals portal you can then search and link to electronic journals that UAL subscribes to.  For some of them, for instance Frieze, you will need a separate user name and password which you can find through a link in the e-journals portal.  For other journals it will be your UAL user name and password that gives you access.  Always log in through the e-jounals portal though not directly through the jounal's website.

Hope that helps.  If you feel you would benefit from further advice or a more in depth session with a librarian, you are welcome to email your course librarian for further information.

kind regards

Anna Dolling
