Q. Can UAL students access other university libraries?

In first year I think we were told that we could visit the library and get a card that means we can go to other uni libraries in the UK. I wanted to know if this was true and how I go about getting one of these cards and what libraries are included.

Hi Taylar,

thanks for your enquiry. As a university student you are entitled to apply to the SCONUL scheme to visit any of the university libraries that partecipate to the scheme, which is the majority in UK. One you applied, your library record will be assessed to ensure you're in good standing with your borrowing at UAL, you will then receive an email confirming you can visit other university libraries. You'll have to take this confirmation email with you together with your UAL student ID.

On the SCONUL website you'll find a list of the partecipating libraries.

I hope this helps.

Kindest Regards,
