You can use the multifunctional devices (MFDs) in the library and on Campus to scan text documents. The MFD will send a PDF file to your UAL email address. Download the PDF and open it in Adobe Acrobat Pro or Adobe Acrobat DC.  When you use the Edit function Adobe will add Optical Character Recognition to the file.  You should then be able to use speech-to-text software.

Alternatively, you can convert a non-accessible PDF using SensusAccess. SensusAccess is an online service, and the conversion is emailed to your UAL email address.
