My reserved books say "pending" or "Item in transit" status

One of these status messages can show on a reservation status for a couple of reasons.
It could be that:

  • the item has not been picked/found by library staff yet
  • the item is still on loan and not yet returned
  • the item is a new book and has not yet been processed/delivered

The second status & In Transit shows that the item has been picked by staff at another site and it is on its way, once received by your chosen pick-up library it will be processed by staff and placed on the reservation shelf.
An email will be sent out to let you know it's here and waiting once processed by your collection library.

You'll have a week to collect and issue it at the self-issue machine, after that period it is returned to the home library. So you'll need to reserve it again if you miss that pick-up window.
